Is achieving goals getting tougher? Then set INTENTIONS! While goals revolve around achieving things, intentions revolve around being. Goals seem external, but intentions are more inward. Intentions are plans you make for a healthier well-being! Hence, you put your mind and body towards it. But staying persistent is the catch. Some ways to stay in the game are: - Setting clear, specific, detailed intentions: Write in detail what you want, why you want it and reflect. - Create smaller goals to reach your intention: If your intention is self-work, break it down into smaller goals; for eg, journaling, meditation, etc. - Dedicate time to work on goals and intentions: Start with keeping 10-15 minutes a day for fulfilling intentions. - List potential challenges and keep solutions ready: Be prepared about the difficulties you might face and decide a backup. For example, Your intention is self-compassion and you meditate regularly for it. If a bad day at work makes you feel dejected, choose a way to release feelings like journaling. Even that accounts for self-compassion. - Affirmations: Choose affirmations and write them, speak them out loud or meditate. For example, if your intention is to have a healthier mind and body, focus on the affirmation “I love my body, mind and soul”. It helps you work towards your intention. 雪が降りそうなどんより雲の 高月院朝ヨガの日。  レッスン中 案の定 雪がチラつきました。  1人の生徒さんが雪に気づいて 教えてくれました。 本堂から見る雪は なんとも風情があり。 一瞬、 生徒さん達がそれぞれ 雪に思いを馳せていました。  すると 1人の生徒さんが 『洗濯物干しっぱなしだわ。。。

Like many behaviors, coping skills can be healthy or unhealthy. While healthy coping mechanisms can help you solve the issue at hand, unhealthy coping skills can cause further harm- or dig a deeper hole. What Are Healthy Coping Skills? Healthy coping skills are behaviors that we use to make sense of negative experiences in a productive and positive way. They help us manage our emotions related to difficult times to improve emotional health and help us grow as people. There are two categories of healthy coping skills — emotion-focused and problem-focused. Emotion-focused coping involves addressing your emotional response to a problem. Some examples of emotion-focused coping include: * Getting emotional support: Talking about your problem with someone you trust. * Recognizing and reframing distorted thoughts. * Performing relaxing activities: Activities like meditating and breathing exercises can take your mind off the problem to help you relax. Problem-focused coping targets the issue that is causing the negative emotions.
