🌙 Sleep routine Quando sei sveglio/a, l’attivazione del tuo sistema nervoso simpatico è predominante. Questo ti permette di rimanere vigile, attento/a e lucido/a nelle situazioni che la quotidianità ci pone di fronte. Quando invece dormi l’attivazione del sistema nervoso parasimpatico prevarica la precedente, ponendo in atto tutti quei processi che conciliano un rilassamento ed un miglior recupero del nostro organismo. When @sweat first launched High Intensity Strength with @cassolholm I remember laughing a bit. For someone who has JUST started lifting weights, I thought it was SO way out of my league. Tried it for the first time sometime in April this year and it was HARD with a lot of very different moves. Didn't try it again because I thought I was not strong enough, this is for people who are used to lifting really heavy, are already well ahead on this path of fitness. But this year during the #sweatchallenge I decided to give this a shot. Agonized for weeks, messaged Cass, messaged many in the #sweatcommunity and then very hesitantly started it. 6 weeks later I had never felt fitter, had gone up 4kilos(almost 9lbs) in weight over that period and it was seriously the strongest I have felt. So today, I am doing HIS (gym version) and choosing this year's sweat challenge was easy 😉 Yes, HIS it is. Why I love this program: 1. It is designed for progressive overload. if you think you are not "strong enough", firstly you are wrong. secondly HIS helps you slowly but steadily increase your weight. 2. I have seen the maximum gains when I have done HIS. 3. The way my body moves during HIS is completely different. I feel much more agile and lighter(if you do so many db over burpees so will you) 4. If I had not done HIS I would have never known how much I am capable of. It is still not easy but my definition of hard has changed. I started my Sweat journey with one set of 5kilo DBs. That was my "heavy".
