This journey is not linear. There are so many twists and turns on the healing journey. Sometimes when we heal one area we are able to see the other parts needing healing much more clearly. One of the reasons I became incredibly passionate about cooking is because of the unhealthy relationship I had with it. I knew that I could make peace over time. So began my deep love for creating beautiful food, healthier versions of my favorites, and a passion that helped me create my brand- @body_bowl_and_soul ❤️ There is still so much to do, so much to heal, and to help others! I don’t follow a program or a schedule. 😱 shocker, I know. Read on… I fully believe you have to make your fitness work for you and not against you. For me, choosing my workouts daily is what allows me to stay on track. I keep track of when I have worked specific areas of my body and I try to evenly split them throughout my week. As a busy mom of 3 little ones, some days I can’t get in a 45 minute workout (like I was lucky to do successfully today!! 🙌🏻). Some days I choose 1-2 ten minute videos that have no breaks and no equipment so I can quickly get it in and get done. Some days I can do an hour full body video with my dumbbells and bands etc. And some days weight training feels extra boring and I do handstand practice for 30 minutes and I take my youngest on a long stroller walk. Whatever works that day and gets me in my minimum of 10 minutes physical activity is what I do! I think fitness programs/schedules are wonderful and so helpful for many people. I’m really looking forward to the day where I can complete all of these @carolinegirvan Epic programs straight through. But right now, I do what works for me to keep moving, 5 days a week, consistently progressing forward. Long story short, take a good look at your life right now and figure out what works best for YOU to stay consistent with your goals with the phase of life you’re in. 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 I never take progress pictures. Honestly I’ve never felt comfortable about it. Never wanting to capture the moments when I’m feeling/looking my worst. Not wanting to feel judged.. 🙈 At the same time, I’m realizing the importance of tracking my progress. Seeing how far I’ve come in the last 9 weeks (and will continue to go). Seeing the pride I find in myself as I work to become better and stronger. 💪🏼 Do I feel completely comfortable in my body yet? No. I’m still working on that. Significant progress doesn’t come quickly for some of us. Some times you see the small changes right away that add up to big progress after a few months of consistently working hard. The progress pictures are there to document those little changes that you don’t notice. We tend to be so focused on the big goals we’re working towards that we don’t always see the little successes along the way. BUT.. The fact that I’m even posting progress pictures is a huge step for me, and shows how much I’ve grown mentally in my self-worth and confidence. After 3 babies and 3 c-sections, my body (and mind) have been through hell and back. It’s taken almost a full year to get back to feeling good again, and I’m not stopping here. Ya know that saying.. Never miss a Monday! Even though it’s late.. Got done at 10pm.. I still pressed play! Even though my th was acting up and I pressed play on my phone! Yes on my little screen here I still pressed play! I pushed past the excuses and got it done! And let me tell you! It felt ahhhhhmazing!🙌🏼😅 Today I started another program!💪🏼 So today was my day one! I’ve done this program in the past and had some awesome results! I forgot how much I loved it! More strength training with this program we work the muscles to burn the fat! Was sweating like crazy and my legs were shaking!! I’m also zoning in on my nutrition this round too! Still allowing my favs but only in moderation and more fruits and veggies.🍌🍎🥦🥕 The weight loss truly happens in the kitchen!😉 I got this!! I know I do!! I will not miss a beat! I’ll finish this one strong!! 30 day shred for this month almost completed!!
