🍰RASPBERRY WHITE CHOCOLATE PROTEIN CAKE🍰 (Gluten Free, 15g protein per serving!) This protein loaf cake is NEXT LEVEL DELICIOUS 😋 It is so soft and perfectly sweet! I based it off of my Protein Banana Breads recipes but I used raspberry yogurt instead of banana!!! This not only was a great substitute but it added even MORE protein! 💪 _ INGREDIENTS: 1/2 cup thick Greek style raspberry yogurt 1 egg 2 tbsp maple syrup 3 tbsp cashew butter 3 tbsp monk fruit or coconut sugar Splash of vanilla extract 1/4 cup coconut flour 1/4 cup @nuzest_usa Smooth Vanilla pea protein 1/4 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt Frozen raspberries @lilys_sweets white chocolate chips Raspberry jam to swirl on top! Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350 and line 2 small loaf pans with parchment paper and spray oil. Mix all of your wet ingredients together and add in the dry and mix well. Fold in the raspberries (I used frozen, about 1/2 cup)and a handful of white chocolate chips. Pour your batter into the pans and flatten. Swirl in some jam and top with more white choc ore chips. Bake for 15 min. Turn the oven down to 325 and bake for an additional 12 min or until the middle it set and a toothpick can be inserted and removed without batter. Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack. Store in an airtight container. _ I am already almost done with both loaves! We live in a body obsessed society that idealizes certain body sizes over others. También hace unos días hicimos el cierre de la 2da Edición de nuestra Diplomatura Universitaria de Mindfulness y Conducta Alimentaria. La pandemia nos cambió a todos, y esta foto me resulta un resumen de lo vivido, donde desde la cocina de mi casa, acompañado de mi taza favorita, algunos apuntes, el power point, la ventana que deja ver la noche, y las caras de Mariana, Mona, Anita y la mía (entre otras), nos animamos seguir aprendiendo juntos. Muchas gracias a los más de 60 participantes que durante estos meses de diplomaturas nos acompañaron en alguna de las 2 ediciones de la diplomatura que dictamos 100% por zoom. Tuvimos participantes de todas partes de nuestro país, y también contamos con alumnos desde Australia, Francia, España y Ecuador. Muchas gracias a mi co-equiper Lic. Mariana Pertusi @miexperienciaalimentaria por tu dedicación inmensa, por tu compromiso, y gracias a ambos 😃 por animarnos a abordar estos temas tan complejos como son nuestra manera de relacionarnos con la comida. Eating based on what you should be doing rather than what you want to do will leave you feeling unsatisfied and you will most likely end up overeating. Removing food rules will make you feel empowered to actually do the things you want to do: eat whenever you want and eat what you feel like eating not what you "should" be eating. Here are 7 tips on how to maintain some healthy habits while we go through all the different holiday celebrations. Swipe through the slides to see the details👇🏻 1️⃣ Eat Mindfully 🥗 when eating at holiday events, sit back and allow yourself to truly enjoy your favorite holiday flavors! Pay attention to the taste, aroma, and texture of the foods. When the attention shifts from your body, redirect it back to your internal fullness and satisfaction cues. 2️⃣ Stay Hydrated 💦 water accounts for 60% of our body’s total weight and we need to stay hydrated in order to maintain this ratio. Drink plain or infused water as often as you can throughout the day. If you consume alcohol over the holiday try to do a 1:1 ratio (1 glass of alcohol & 1 glass of water). Your body will thank you in the morning! 3️⃣ Choose Healthy Substitutes 🔀 With a few simple food tweaks, you can indulge in your favorite holiday foods without feeling the affects. Examples: ✅replace sour cream with Greek yogurt in favorite recipes ✅ trade mashed potato with mashed sweet potato ✅ swap heavy dips like blue cheese and spinach artichoke dip with healthy bean-based dips and homemade hummus ✅ opt for lighter cheeses like cottage cheese, goat cheese, and feta cheese ✅ load up on roasted veggies and lighter salad dressings before reaching for the ham and green bean casserole Continue in comments for Part 2 👇🏻

On Tuesday's we meal prep... and this week we bake! Real talk; it's the holiday season, so what does that mean? It means treats at the office, champagne with friends, heavier meals eaten with family. It's a time of togetherness but it is also a time of high consumption. And for someone like me that is pretty anxiety provoking. Take these cookies for example, I baked them lovingly for my staff who work so hard all year round. Last year, I would have eaten handfuls of M&Ms, eaten spoonfuls of batter, and hammered at least 2 cookies by now. Today, I measured out 1/2 oz of M&Ms while I was mixing and 1/2 oz of batter, because I had to do a taste test! That might seem crazy to some people, that I had to weigh out this food before I ate it, but for me, it gives me a sense of control because for so many years I was so out of control. I have packaged the cookies away for tomorrow and I haven't been tempted to taste the final product yet, but I have already decided if I want to enjoy a cookie tonight I will, and I will move on. The difference is, I am in control. I am being mindful and making conscious choices about what I am putting in my body. I spent over an hour prepping food for the next 3 days so I can be prepared to meet my goals and stay on track for the remainder of the week. You can’t heal your relationship with food while refusing to accept your body if you gain weight. True freedom is accepting the changes that might occur to your body while you are healing your relationship with food. 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 It’s scary as hell at first. Trust me, I know. I thought I was healing my relationship with food and my body for years but I wasn’t. Because in the back of my mind, even sometimes subconsciously, all my decisions were based around not gaining weight. Allowing myself full freedom to eat anything I wanted whenever I want terrified me. What if I binge on cookies? What if I eat too much pizza? So here’s the truth, if you are someone who has a past of binge-eating / restrictive dieting, chances are…..you might end up eating more at first. You might gain weight. That is OKAY. Allow yourself some grace. When I allowed myself desserts with no guilt again, I overate cookies several times. But here is the 𝙆𝙀𝙔. Instead of being 𝙈𝘼𝘿 at myself for overeating a couple cookies, I 𝘼𝘾𝘾𝙀𝙋𝙏𝙀𝘿 it. I told myself, “Okay, I ate a couple more cookies than normal but I am 𝘼𝙒𝘼𝙍𝙀 of my actions. I 𝙉𝙊𝙏𝙄𝘾𝙀 that I feel fuller than I would like to feel. I notice that I feel a little uncomfortable from eating this many cookies. So,𝙉𝙀𝙓𝙏 𝙏𝙄𝙈𝙀 I have cookies, I will tune into my body as I eat them and trust that my body will let me know when I am satiated.” The further along you go on your journey, the more intuitive you will become with your body. I would use appropriately 4 dinners as an excuse to say F it for an entire month 😬 I would not only yolo for December but I would end the month off with extra pounds that I didn't want to begin with. I am not knocking those of u who do this, it's a personal choice. I am simply speaking to those of u who currently feel like shit, want to change your habits and want to lose weight. I'm speaking to ya'll. Are u saying F it to yourself? Are u staying stuck in this feeling like shit for a couple meals? Why??? Life doesn't have to be an all or nothing approach. U can be in a weightloss mode and still enjoy all things Christmas 🎄, I promise u can. U can still have fun at Christmas parties, holiday dinners and still lose weight. It is possible.
