𝗡å𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗸𝗸𝗲 𝗴å𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝘃𝗲𝗷.. 🙄 For 9 dage siden fik jeg skadet mine to nederste ribben, hvilket har gjort mig yderst begrænset i min træning og ikke mindst fuldstændig fik ødelagt min søvn pga smerter de første par dage. 👨🏼‍⚕️Jeg har været til behandling og til kiropraktor, men uden held indtil videre. Jeg har fået af vide, at jeg gerne må træne, så længe det er udenfor smertegrænsen. Jeg har derfor valgt, at træne de dage jeg plejer blot i et begræset omfang og valgt at lægge logbogen væk, da jeg ikke kan ramme nogle af min tal og ikke kan udføre mange af øvelserne. Ikke alle perioder af ens træning er ligegode, men hvordan vi kommer igennem dem kan gøre en forskel. Jeg håber i passer godt på jer selv derude og undgår de slemme skader 🥰✌🏼

Chicken Broccoli Bake 👏🏻 Reposting this one because it is SO good ♥️ Because who doesn’t love massive serving sizes with high protein, low calories, and all of the flavour ! 🤩 Also, CONVENIENCE! This recipe makes 10 massive servings. Perfect for meal prep 👌🏻 Ingredients: For the Bake: Spaghetti squash (one large) 420g (3 small) cooked chicken breast 475 g (4.5 cups) Raw Mushroom One small Red onion (180g) 1000g (10 cup) Broccoli (raw or frozen) 100g (3/4 cup) Light Cheddar Seasoning: salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, paprika For the Sauce: 6 Light Laughing cow wedges 40g (1/4 cup) Nutritional yeast 600g (2.5 cups) Cottage cheese 2 tsp Hidden Valley Dry Ranch mix Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees Cut ends off of spaghetti squash and Poke holes with fork. Microwave spaghetti squash for 10-13 minutes depending on size Sauté onions and mushroom with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning Make sauce: blend cottage cheese, hidden valley ranch powder, nutritional yeast, laughing cow wedges, and seasoning to taste: Italian seasoning, paprika, salt and pepper. (You may have to add a tablespoon of water to this if your blender isn’t great.) Microwave or steam frozen/raw broccoli Let spaghetti squash cool while doing other steps, then cut in half and remove seeds. Scrape out insides of spaghetti squash and place in bottom of casserole dish. Pour half of the sauce over spaghetti squash, mix in. Mix mushrooms, broccoli, chicken, and onion with remaining sauce and pour over spaghetti squash base. Seasoning more if needed to taste Top with cheese, and bake in oven for 20-25 minutes, than broil on high for 3-5 minutes. Dat slaap tekort, stress en vliegen niet goed is voor je shape weten we allemaal maar ik ondervind het nu net voor peak week in levende lijven haha. Want ik heb de drie gecombineerd aan de start 😅 . Maar goed, vanaf nu low carb, 4 maaltijden per dag (zoals gebruikelijk), zout en vocht inname goed monitoren en net voor de wedstrijd wat vullen! . ‘Starvation mode’, a popular phrase in the diet world, which is... ‘somewhat true’. Starvation mode is what we call metabolic adaptation- which happens to be a BROAD subject- with many variables to consider. BMR is directly effected by body mass, so when we lose weight, we need slightly less energy to perform the same amount of activity and the less food we eat the less we induce things like dietary induced thermogenesis. After your BMR, decrease in NEAT becomes the most influential variable to consider, taking up a total 15% of TDEE- this describes the energy used for any movement that isn’t purposeful exercise, eg. fidgeting and day to day movement. In terms of other adaptations, higher the % of body mass lost/ size of the deficit and time spent in a deficit will dictate the impact of other variables such as; Your appetite relating hormones, thermic effect of food, exercise activity thermogenesis and the balance between anabolism and catabolism. BUT When we are referring to a novice trainee who is actively ‘upscaling’ their BMR through components of their TEE like manipulating their diet and exercise protocols whilst in a very humble deficit (usually 5 days a week(truth))- these adaptations are typically minimal Next, since RMR is determined primarily by the amount of lean body mass we have, ultimately those new to exercise don’t have much to worry about as ‘newbie gains’ is actually a real phenomenon. Adaptations become much more pronounced when weight loss attempts become more extreme/ pushing low BF levels. Hard truth? While the concept of avoiding crash dieting and severe restriction is crucial, "starvation mode" is usually not why weight loss isn’t occurring. Whist physiological hurdles and defences against weight loss are very real …More resent studies have shown the effects of metabolic adaptations are not as significant as we once thought (in healthy individuals with a modest deficit). This is where answers are found by looking inward. Every day we consume energy and we burn energy; the net balance of this equation determines whether we gain or lose weight. Usually you’re not in ‘starvation mode’, you’re just not in a calorie deficit.
