But I had no problem picking out every single flaw, things that โ€œarenโ€™t good enoughโ€, or I need to change, things that I literally canโ€™t do anything about (besides surgery) that I allowed to be a flaw and to be a major insecurity. Then came a mindset change. Yes of course, I still have days where I have a bad mindset day, bad body image and plenty of insecurities, but overall, Iโ€™ve been learning to love myself at every stage. There are ups and downs, weight fluctuates, confidence sways, and thatโ€™s part of being human. Every day, find the things you love about yourself and tell yourself what you love. Self validation is the only validation that will truly make you feel happy with yourself. Seeking constant validation from others is fleeting and often fake. I am strong. I am confident. I am beautiful. I am getting better. Itโ€™s not prideful to say these things. Itโ€™s humbling ourselves to a point where we accept our flaws and change what we do have control of. Take charge of your life, take charge of your happiness. Thank you all for your support and I hope I can help encourage some in a positive direction, and know that weโ€™re all human, no one is perfect!

The Supine KB Pullover is an anti-extension core exercise that also has benefits towards restoring true overhead flexion. One of the most important parts of this exercise is maintaining the positional relationship between the ribcage and pelvis as the weight travels overhead. Two cues we give to help maintain this position is to โ€œdig the heels into the floor/matโ€ and to โ€œexhale and set the ribs downโ€ before reaching the weight towards the ceiling and bringing it overhead. โ€œDig the heels downโ€ allows for some hamstring activation, which will aid the pelvis in maintaining a posterior tilt. This will help to keep the back flat against the mat so the abs can work from an optimal position. โ€œExhale and set the ribs downโ€ will give the athlete a reference for where their ribs should be as their arms travel overhead. Pairing the exhale with a reach towards the ceiling will allow the Serratus to activate, and it will lessen the odds of the athleteโ€™s ribs flaring/ lumbar spine extending as they go through the movement.
