The name of the game for me these days is BALANCE! Iโ€™ve been having great conversations with my clients on our calls and a big topic that comes up is BALANCE with our health and fitness goals. Planning our โ€œoff planโ€ meals as I call them these days; (Cheat meals just makes them sound terrible, when they are supposed to taste great!) around our schedule. Thereโ€™s more to life than eating chicken out of a tupperware at a party (because yes I have done that). I donโ€™t regret the journey I have taken, as I help my clients learn from not only my experiences but also my mistakes. But I have been on the extremely unbalanced mindset with my fitness goals. I do have an addictive personality, why I struggled with my eating disorder for so long as well as dove head first into competing and didnโ€™t come up for air for about 4 years. The problem with going to the other extreme, is you lose so many life experiences. I had given up traveling, enjoying meals with my family and going to social events because I was usually always tired or worried about my next meal plan meal. Now I love picking out the clothes or a dress to wear, even getting my make up done for the occasion and enjoying the life moments with my loved ones. Life is supposed to be enjoyed to the absolute fullest. Life shouldnโ€™t play out in a restrictive manner or in an absolute overly excessive manner at that either. Whatโ€™s your wealth if you donโ€™t have your health?
